Family Law Blog: Ditch the bitch

Wednesday January 27, 2010 at 7:52pm

"Ditch the bitch" and "All men are bastards" were apparently divorce poster campaigns on behalf of a London family law firm. They were placed, sensibly you might think, in female and male toilets respectively.

I don't know how well they worked, but they certainly got the firm involved a lot of publicity including in the national newspapers. Personally, I am wholly against that sort of approach. Not that of seeking PR through use of innovative and maybe risky adverts but the seeming lack of care for the upset and emotions involved in the process of divorce cases.

Am I being too "touchy feely"? Is the reality of divorce that it is often a nasty process needing nasty lawyers being aggressive? I know some (a minority of) law firms who are like that and seem to do very well so many clients must want that sort of service.
