Client comments

Cornwall based family lawyer Sue is very approachable and has an ability to understand her client’s needs. Clients often say they feel so much better after having spoken with her as she is very good at taking problems on and solving them quickly and efficiently, relieving clients of the burden and the worry of their current situation.

Sue is methodical and very conscientious which means cases are handled with the utmost priority to ensure a resolution as quickly as possible as she understands that delays often suffered with other firms can be extremely frustrating.

Sue is very pro-active and understands the importance of being available for her clients and other third parties involved in a case. Her excellent organisational skills ensure she is always contactable. She is also very flexible with her time, often available for evening appointments where this is necessary.

Sue is an experienced family and divorce lawyer who has been in practice for 8 years now, she has expertise in all aspects of matrimonial and family law but specialises in the financial implications of family breakdown. Having personal connections with the Royal Navy, a good proportion of her work is referred through existing clients in the Armed Forces.

Sue also has comprehensive experience in resolving children issues, she acts for both parents and grandparents in family disputes and understands the importance of taking the conflict out of situations and encouraging solutions based on the needs of the whole family.

Sue is a member of Resolution whose members are bound by codes of practice that ensure quick and effective resolutions set to minimise the negative impact that disputes often have on children. She is also a qualified collaborative lawyer which allows her client’s the opportunity of resolving disputes in round table meetings as an alternative to the traditional court based process.

Specialising in divorce and family law alone, has allowed Sue to build her experience in all aspects including civil partnership dissolution, prenuptial agreements and cohabitee disputes

She is predominantly based in South West Cornwall but manages cases across the South West of England and also spends time working in London. Further afield she has clients across the globe from Canada to Australia, the Far East, Dubai, the Americas and Europe.

Sue is accredited within the firm to handle cases with an international element (Expat Divorce) – whether they are expats living abroad and wanting a UK divorce or foreign nationals married and wanting to divorce in this country.
